Elsa Alston is an Ascalon refugee traveling across the Shiverpeaks to safety in Kryta, following Prince Rurik. The journey has been costly for her however, as she is now the widow of Oswalt Alston. While making their way through Ascalon Foothills, their party was attacked by a hydra, and Oswalt Alston sacrificed his life to ensure that the rest of the refugees made it to safety.

Elsa Alston and a group of refugees will need to be rescued as part of the Shiverpeak Stragglers quest. Following the quest, she can be found in Traveler's Vale right next to the entrance to Yak's Bend. She will give the quest Oswalt's Epitaph to commemorate her husband's sacrifice and subsequently disappears after the completion of that quest.

When escorting Elsa and the refugees back to Yak's Bend to complete the Shiverpeak Stragglers quest, be careful of mobs. She tends to charge in to attack, easily getting herself killed if not protected.
