Elite Mission
From GuildWiki
Elite Missions are high difficulty missions accessible only through the capital cities of the Kurzick and Luxon regions and through the Chantry of Secrets in Elona.
In general, the Elite Missions are very long (a full run can take 2 to 5 hours depending on proficiency), with large numbers of high-level foes as well as negative Environmental Effects. They offer the highest level loot in the game as well as powerful unique items at the very end of the missions. The Elite Missions in Factions are not marked on the map, while the Elite Mission in Nightfall has an icon with a skeletal sunburst inside a red circle with a silver ring around it.
There are two Elite Missions in Factions:
- The Deep: Accessed through Cavalon
- Urgoz's Warren: Accessed through House zu Heltzer
Both missions are composed of a mission town with a merchant and a Xunlai Agent. Once the party leader hits the Enter Mission button, the party is taken to the actual mission.
There is also one Elite Mission in Nightfall:
- Gate of Anguish: Accessed through the Chantry of Secrets

[edit] Guild Wars Prophecies
Guild Wars Prophecies has no actual elite missions, however it does have two areas with considerable similarities to them:
- Sorrow's Furnace has a quest setup similar to the Domain of Anguish, with bosses that drop unique items spread throughout the area.
- The Ruins of the Tomb of the Primeval Kings are similar to Urgoz's Warren and The Deep, with no quests at the end.
[edit] Guild Wars Factions
There are several ways to gain access to an elite mission in Guild Wars Factions:
- Members of the alliances that control the capital cities can talk to Vash in House zu Heltzer or Eurayle in Cavalon for free access to Urgoz's Warren or The Deep, respectively.
- Regardless of alliance, players may trade 1,000 Kurzick or Luxon Faction to the respective faction rewards NPCs to get a Passage Scroll to Urgoz's Warren or The Deep. The Rare Scroll Trader also carries a stock of Passage Scrolls, but these are subject to supply and demand..
Note:If a character is in an Elite Mission or an Elite Mission outpost and logs out, they will be returned to the Elite Mission's outpost when they log back in.
[edit] Guild Wars Nightfall
On December 1st, 2006, Nightfall's elite mission, The Ebony Citadel of Mallyx, was implemented. The Elite Mission is located within the new Domain of Anguish sub-region, accessible through the Chantry of Secrets after completing the Nightfall campaign. The pre-requisites for entering the elite mission are completing the first four parts of the quest Mallyx the Unyielding.
[edit] Guild Wars Eye of the North
Guild Wars Eye of the North doesn't have an elite mission, however it does have an elite dungeon called Slavers' Exile. It works similar to the Domain of Anguish in Nightfall. There are 5 parts of this dungeon.
