The damage and effectiveness of Dagger strikes, dagger-based skills, and the chance to inflict a critical hit increases with rank in Dagger Mastery. Also, there's a 2% chance per rank in Dagger Mastery that attacks from your daggers will double strike.
Dagger Mastery directly relates to the weapon 'daggers' and skills required by daggers.
Dagger Mastery is a requirement for meeting a pair of daggers' max damage.
The Dagger Mastery attribute increases the damage and the duration of conditions inflicted on foes through dagger mastery skills.

As well as increasing the critical rate, the dagger mastery attribute will add hidden damage by changing the Effective Damage Level (EffDL) if certain conditions are met. For further information about this, see Damage Level. Note that a double strike does not affect "dagger attack" skills, only normal dagger attacks made by the Assassin.
All but one Dagger Mastery skills are Lead, Off-Hand or Dual Attacks. Dagger Mastery attack skills can inflict the Bleeding, Blind, Crippled, Poison and Dazed Conditions, interrupt or knock down foes, remove Stances and Enchantments and inflict Exhaustion, some Dagger Mastery attacks are unblockable. Dagger Mastery also includes Golden Lotus Strike, which provides conditional Energy gain. Flashing Blades, the one non-attack Dagger Mastery skill, is an elite Stance which provides a 75% chance to Block while attacking, and can be kept up continuously with 15 or higher Dagger Mastery.
