Crocodiles lurk in the murky waters of Lahtenda Bog, and can be tamed by using the Ranger skill, Charm Animal. These creatures are also used by beastmaster hekets in the Kourna Desert and are usually level 15, but are presented as untamable.

- There were originally tamable Pygmy Hippopotamuses in the Guild Wars Nightfall World Preview Event, but all instances of them were replaced by the Crocodile in the full version.
- They deal piercing damage.
