Competitive Mission

A Competitive Mission is a type of mission that involves playing against other players (PvP). The teams are randomly chosen. Competitive missions can be accessed by PvE characters without traveling to the Battle Isles.

  • Ascalon Academy
• Factions
  • Fort Aspenwood
  • The Jade Quarry

• Fort Aspenwood and the Jade Quarry are also available to PvP characters.

• Fort Aspenwood and the Jade Quarry are popularly used to complete the quests Befriending the Luxons and Befriending the Kurzicks because of their yield and repeatability.

Historical note: Any type of PvP arena used to be called "Competitive Mission" on the loading screen before Guild Wars Factions came out.
