Maps for Elite Bosses[]

The standards for the bestiary have not been discussed yet, but the use of maps so far is pretty grotesque :P Please could we start a discussion on the proper standard for including maps in Bestiary articles? Hi :-) I'm Xennon, the guy who made the www.xennon.co.uk/eliteskills/ listing. I was contacted a while ago about the use of my information on this site. I said the information itself may be used, however the maps were not to be used. Ollj, I got to chime in on that. You have recently edited a lot of your freshly created Boss articles, but the info on them is utterly lacking. For every Boss, you have entered the sentence "he has Skill x." This is quite unsatisfactory. Please look here for an example of a Boss article as we would like to have them. Just copy this article's code and fill it with the specifics of the boss you edit. I'm convinced this would earn you a lot more positive recognition than what you are doing now. Subcategories[]
I'd suggest to add subcategories for better overview. For example, instead of putting Alana Pekpek into Category:Bosses and Category:Grawl, put him into Category:Grawl Bosses, which would be a sub-category of both Category:Bosses and Category:Grawl. I think this would make both Category:Bosses and Category:Grawl look a lot "cleaner". I would be willing to put in the work and do the crusade. I'll be going through all the bosses one by one, checking them against Bestiary/RawDumpWikified, so I might as well fix the categories. - =) You might have talked about it and I just missed it, but I still can't figure out what rules you followed for your major overhaul of Category:NPCs. I know there was some discussion with PanSola about it, but there didn't seem to be any discussion from you before all of a sudden it was done. (Like I said, I may have missed it as that was in the days of the 5 minute page load, so I probably wasn't checking everything.) And I still don't know what the rules are for them. We really should have a Style and formatting page written up for NPCs, possibly as a subset of the S&f page for bestiary. --Rainith 00:36, 18 February 2006 (CST)

Okay, the crusade is rolling. While we're at it, may I suggest to fix the profession categories too, in order to have a "Bosses by profession" category. It's a minor thing, so I'll just go for it. --User:Tetris L/Sig 17:30, 9 March 2006 (CST)

- A side-effect of the crusade, I should add, is that some bosses have been moved to one categorization of bosses OR the other instead of both. For example, Justiciar Hablion (whose pic I borrowed for the boss Rainith Ironhand) :) is listed as White Mantle Bosses but NOT as Warrior Bosses (though he is listed as warrior). So, if you go to Bosses by profession you actually can't find him. He's not the only one... Maw the Mountain Heart is also languishing in Category:Purgatory where he is not a necro boss anymore. :) --Karlos 14:44, 19 March 2006 (CST)

- While normally I'm in favor of splitting up categories by various criteria, in this case I tend to agree with Rainith. Since we have split them up by species, and very few species are on more than one campaign (and those who are, are split up by organization), there is little room for confusion. --Tetris L

SoC confirmation[]
If someone is bored, I would like to have a list of all of the Prophecies bosses who need SoC confirmation. Then I could go and SoC them all. -- 05:04, 14 June 2006 (CDT)
- Look at the [Bestiary/RawDump]. I have gone through them all, up to last month and deleted the ones that already have SoC confirmation. The ones that are left is the list you would be looking for. Be sure you edit the RawDump as some others, me included, also look at the list to find unconfirmed SoCs. That is why I don't have faith in that information. Granted, some people are shy, but others could be emailing misinformation. - Read it, and I see where he was coming from, but did anyone contact him to get the SoC screens? Before you say GW:YOU, I'm trying to make this place as accurate as I believe it should be. In my opinion, GWiki should be the first and only place a user comes to for accurate and up to date information. Is all information sumbitted not double checked from time to time? I know even I have had someone say "prove it".
