To set up a PC that runs Guild Wars legally without paying, don't install Windows:
- install Ubuntu desktop
- install Wine
- install Guild Wars (DVD works fine)
Free goodies include an email program, your favorite browser (unless that's IE), a complete Office package that reads Microsoft files if need be, a graphics program that rivals Photoshop, and a lot of games that you can download and install from a list. If you've already paid for your GuildWars account, all you need to pay for is the machine itself, and it's all legal.
You don't have to be a Linux geek to do that, either; it's not harder than installing Windows and has been done by 13-yr-olds with no extra help.
