Description
Books track various PvE accomplishments in Guild Wars: Eye of the North. Some books can be turned in to an NPC for various rewards, while other books act merely as a guide towards achieving some objective. For example, Zho's Journal describes how to acquire a Black Moa Chick.
Acquisition
- Hero's Handbook and Master Dungeon Guide - Talk to one of the following NPCs to receive an empty copy of either book. There are also Hard Mode versions of these books that you can get for doing the dungeons and primary quests in Hard Mode.
- Tyr the Skaald (Norn)
- Kodan (Deldrimor)
- Lexx (Asura)
- Gedrel of Ascalon (Ebon Vanguard)
- Miscellaneous books:
- Zho's Journal - Acquired by defeating Zho in the Norn Tournament.
- Bonus Mission Pack books - These are received from Durmand and are needed to access the Bonus Missions. Completing a mission will enable you to "Authenticate" a copy of the story. It can then be exchanged to various Scribe NPCs for unique items.
Notes
- Turning in a completed Hero's Handbook will reward 40,000 EXP, 4,000 Gold, 20,000 reputation points. A completed Master Dungeon Guide will reward 80,000 EXP, 8,000 Gold, 40,000 reputation points for the faction of the NPC to which you trade the completed book. The books do not need to be full, a half-filled book may also be turned in. The more pages you have filled in, the more gold, experience and faction you gain.
