Blunt is a damage type. It is a subset of physical damage. The most common source of blunt damage is melee weapons, usually hammers, but also jittes, a kind of sword. No pets deal blunt damage, warthogs are only rumored to do blunt damage, though these rumors have been proven false long ago.
