The following table shows the net energy gain (including the cost of Auspicious Incantation and the next spell). Cells with an orange background have zero net cost; those with a lime background increase the caster's energy.

- §Casters might receive one more point of energy than indicated (see Anomaly).
- Auspicious Incantation always results in the caster using less energy than they might have, even after taking into account the cost of AI itself.
- You will still get the full amount of energy returned even if the casting costs have been modified, e.g. by Glyph of Energy or Quickening Zephyr.
- You can avoid the additional recharge time in two ways:
- Invoke Glyph of Energy after Auspicious Incantation but before the next spell; the spell will recharge instantly.
- Use AI on an echoed spell (by way Echo or Arcane Echo); the echoed spell will have the normal recharge.
| Anomaly! The rounding of the gained energy doesn't follow a standard rounding method. The table uses a rounded down number for those cells for which the value is in doubt.
