Afflicted Ritualists can be found in groups of the Afflicted that are plaguing the land of Cantha. With Flesh of My Flesh, they can resurrect other fallen Afflicted - including bosses - and thus should be taken care of early on in a battle. The resurrected Afflicted will still unleash an Afflicted Soul Explosion upon death, providing yet another incentive for early termination.
